SCHNEIDER Modicon Premium Automation Platform and Unity Software

​Platform Overview

Modicon Premium Automation Platform is an industrial automation solution launched by Schneider Electric, which integrates processors, co processors, I/O modules, bus systems, and programming software. It is suitable for multiple scenarios such as discrete control, process control, and motion control, supports distributed configuration and remote expansion, and has high reliability and flexibility.

Core hardware components

(1) Processor and coprocessor

Slot: Processor/coprocessor with 2 slots (No.0 for program/data, No.1 for communication/expansion)

(3) Framework and Power Supply

Framework: TSX RKY series, including non expandable (6/8/12 slots) and expandable (4EX/6EX/8EX/12EX), supporting up to 16 cascaded frameworks

Power module: TSX PSY series, voltage coverage 24V, 100-240V, etc., single slot/dual slot format, supports battery backup (protects RAM data)

(4) Bus and Communication Module

BUS X bus: supports remote connection between frameworks, with a maximum distance of 100m (expandable to 350m through TSX REY 200 module)

Communication protocol: Supports Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus Plus, CANopen, INTERBUS, Profibus DP, etc
