Safety regulations and installation process

Core security requirements

Operation taboos: All power sources must be disconnected before wiring and disassembly, and live working is prohibited; Separate the laying of signal cables and power cables to avoid electromagnetic interference;

Cable requirements: Shielded cables are required for counting, control, and communication signals, with the shielding layer connected to the equipment common end (terminals 2/3/4);

Power protection: The AC power input must be connected in series with a slow melting fuse to avoid overloading and damaging the equipment; Attention should be paid to the positive and negative polarity wiring of DC power supply models to prevent reverse connection.

Installation and wiring specifications

Mechanical installation:

Panel opening size: 68 × 68mm (± 0.7mm), equipment panel size 75 × 75mm, maximum panel thickness 12.7mm;

Installation accessories: including sealing gasket, 2 installation clips, 4 screws. During installation, ensure that the gasket is tightly attached to the panel and the screws are not too tight (to avoid gasket deformation);

Physical dimensions: The device body measures 67 × 67 × 142mm and weighs 0.54kg.

Wiring details:

Terminal specifications: 22 pluggable screw terminals, supporting 14-22AWG solid/multi strand wires;

Power wiring: AC model terminal 11 (live wire), 12 (neutral wire), DC model terminal 1 (positive electrode), common terminal (terminals 2/3/4);

DIP switch configuration: 4 switches are located at the bottom of the device, with the following functions:

Switch 1, Switch 2, Switch 3, Switch 4, Function

OFF OFF OFF OFF Input A/B are both current filled, high threshold

ON – Input A is the pulling current

-ON – Input B is the pulling current

— ON – Input A is low threshold (compatible with magnetic sensor)

— ON input B is a low threshold (compatible with magnetic sensors)

Wiring principle: All signal cables should be as short as possible to avoid being laid in close proximity and parallel with strong interfering equipment such as frequency converters and motors.

Programming configuration core process

The device programming is completed through 8 buttons on the panel, and the core menu is divided into 9 modules. The key programming process is as follows:

Basic Configuration (Phase I)

Program Count In: 8 counting modes (such as A-B addition and subtraction, orthogonal X4, etc.) that need to be matched with sensor types (encoder/proximity switch, etc.);

Program Scalers:

C Scaler: Formula CS=DPF/PPI (DPF is the decimal factor, PPI is the number of pulses per unit);

R Scaler: Formula RS=(SEC x DPF)/PPI (SEC is the unit of time in seconds);

Preset and reset settings: preset number of main counters (1-4), reset mode (reset to zero/final preset), automatic loop function (whether to automatically reset at the preset position).

Input/output configuration (Phase II)

Program Input Allocation: Four inputs can be configured for 14 functions including reset, output control, pause counting, print trigger, etc;

Program Out Mode Configuration:

Trigger type: Count trigger (preset/reset event) or rate trigger (above/below set point);

Output logic: Normal/reverse mode, latch/pulse output (pulse time 0.01-99.9s), supports delayed start (0-99.99s);

Program Display: 15 types of operation screens (such as main count+preset, rate+alarm point, etc.) can be set to display/hide, and support editing 8-character unit text (such as “COUNT”, “FEET”).

Serial communication configuration (Program Ser Port/Ser Out)

Port settings: Device ID (00-99, unique identifier), baud rate (default 19200), parity (none/odd/even), transmission delay (2ms/100ms);

Transmission mode: Host mode (responds to external commands) or printer mode (triggers transmission by pressing the print button/input);

Transmission List: 13 data items (SEND/SKIP) including main count, batch, accumulator, preset, etc. can be selected for transmission.

Exclusive configuration for foot/inch models

Counting display: The main counter is divided into 4 feet and 2 inches (separated by a fixed decimal point), with internal counting in inches, ranging from 0000.00 to 9999.11;

Pre alarm function: The pre alarm value (Pw) automatically tracks the final preset value (Pf), with a fixed interval (such as Pw=240.00 when Pf=250.00);

Restricted function: No speed meter, no speed alarm output, some display screens are unavailable.

Operation and maintenance

Running operation process

Power on self-test: automatically performs 6 internal tests (ROM/RAM/NOVRAM, etc.) after power on, and displays “ERROR X” (X is the test number) when a fault occurs;

Panel operation:

Screen switching: Use the up and down keys to switch between 15 running screens and view data such as main counter, accumulator, batch, rate, etc;

Preset editing: After selecting the preset screen, press the SEL key, flash the digit to adjust with the plus or minus keys, and confirm with the ENT key;

Reset operation: Press the RST/CLR key (the function of this key needs to be programmed first) to reset the main counter/accumulator/batch counter;

Data transmission: In printer mode, pressing the PRNT key or triggering the corresponding control input can output the preset transmission list data.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Common faults and solutions:

Possible causes and solutions for the fault phenomenon

Display blank power supply wiring error/abnormal voltage. Check the power terminal voltage and confirm that the fuse is intact

Do not count scale setting error/DIP switch configuration incorrect/sensor fault scale set to 1.00000 for testing, check DIP switch, use jumper to test terminals 4 and 20 (count+)

Error “ERROR 3” running data storage failure Press RST key to reset all counts/preset to zero

Error “ERROR 4” program configuration storage failure. Press RST key to restore factory default settings

Daily maintenance: Regularly check the tightness of wiring, clean the panel, and avoid corrosive cleaning agents from contacting the equipment;

Accessory selection: Optional accessories include RS-485 to RS-232 converter, signal conditioner, RC surge suppressor, encoder, etc.
