Eaton 5P series UPS products

Product Fundamentals and Core Positioning

The Eaton 5P series UPS is an online interactive high-frequency uninterruptible power supply designed for commercial and industrial scenarios, with a rated power coverage of 650VA-1550VA (corresponding to active power of 420W-1100W). Its core positioning is to provide stable power protection for sensitive loads such as servers, network equipment, and storage devices. The product combines high energy efficiency, long battery life, and flexible scalability, supporting two installation forms: tower and 1U rack. The 1U model can provide a maximum power density of 1.1kW and is suitable for diverse installation environments such as computer rooms and small data centers. The entire machine comes with a 3-year warranty.

Core functional characteristics

Energy Efficiency and Output Performance

High energy efficiency design: optimizing electrical structure, achieving a maximum energy efficiency of 98%, reducing cooling costs and electricity expenses;

Pure sine wave output: Provides high-quality sine wave signals in battery mode, perfectly adapts to sensitive devices such as active PFC servers, and avoids harmonic interference;

Adjustable input parameters: The input voltage window (150-294V) and input waveform sensitivity can be adjusted through LCD or software to adapt to special power supply environments such as generators, maximizing battery life.

Battery Management and Availability

ABM ®  Battery technology: Eaton ABM using three-stage charging technology ®  Battery management system, extending battery life by up to 50%, combined with temperature compensation charging (optional for users), further enhancing battery stability;

Hot swappable function: The battery supports hot swapping and can be replaced without turning off the load; Paired with an optional hot swappable maintenance bypass module, it can achieve complete UPS hot replacement and ensure power supply continuity;

Battery protection: It has automatic battery testing and deep discharge protection functions to avoid excessive battery loss and extend the service life.

Control and Monitoring Capability

Graphic LCD: supports 7 languages, single screen display of UPS status, measurement data, and energy consumption measurement (kWh value), equipped with convenient navigation keys, and intuitive configuration and operation;

Load segmentation control: The output sockets are divided into 2 groups of controlled sockets, which can achieve priority shutdown of non critical equipment and extend the backup time of critical equipment; Support remote restart of faulty network devices, or scheduled shutdown and sequential startup;

Software support: Comes with Eaton Intelligent Power ®  Software suite, compatible with mainstream operating systems and virtualization software such as VMware and Hyper-V, enabling centralized management.

Communication and Expansion

Standard interfaces: 1 USB port, 1 RS232 serial port, relay contacts, supporting remote start stop and remote power-off; Attention: USB and RS232 ports cannot be used simultaneously;

Expansion slot: Reserve one communication slot for installing Network-M2 card, INDGW-M2 card, or Relay-MS card, supporting SNMP/Web monitoring or relay contact expansion.
