Key issues (3, with different focuses)

Question 1 (Safety Focus)

What are the mandatory safety red lines for power supply and use of the XV-102-L series? answer:

24 VDC SELV/PELV safety isolated power supply must be used, with a voltage of 19.2-30V. Non isolated power supply is prohibited.

It is strictly prohibited to use it for any safety related functions (such as emergency stop, safety door, safety circuit).

Only allowed for use in ATEX Zone 22, prohibited for use in gas explosion-proof Zone 0/1/2 environments.

Only certified electricians are allowed to install, wire, and maintain.

Question 2 (Installation Focus)

What mechanical and heat dissipation conditions must be met during the installation of XV-102-L to ensure protection and longevity? answer:

The panel thickness must be 2-5 mm, and the flatness of the installation surface should be ≤ 0.5 mm.

A ventilation gap of ≥ 30mm must be reserved around the equipment for natural convection and heat dissipation.

All fixed brackets must be installed in quantity (3.5 “4, 5.7” 6, 7 “8) to ensure IP65.

Stay away from heat sources by ≥ 15 cm, avoid direct sunlight and UV aging.

Question 3 (Electrical Focus)

What are the key limitations when wiring the serial port and communication interface of XV-102-L? Why is USB only for maintenance use? answer:

The maximum length of RS-232 is 30 meters, and the maximum length of RS-485 is 1200 meters, and both ends must be connected to a 120 Ω terminal resistor.

All communication lines must be shielded, with the shielding layer grounded at one end and routed separately from the power line.

USB is limited to maintenance because ordinary USB devices have poor industrial EMC performance, which can easily introduce interference and cause crashes and communication failures.
