EAU-321 is an AutroSafe fire detection system

Product positioning

EAU-321 is a PC/104 specification 4-channel serial communication board for the AutroSafe interactive fire detection system. It is used to interface with third-party devices through the AutroCom protocol and is the core module for external communication.

Core Features

4 independent serial ports, supporting RS232/RS422/RS485 protocols, flexibly defined by jumpers

Support AutroCom redundant communication to enhance reliability

All ports have continuous short-circuit protection

Size: 90mm × 96mm

Working temperature: -40 ℃~+85 ℃

Port function division

Port protocol type function

Port1, Port2 RS232/RS422/RS485 (optional) AutroCom communication, supporting redundancy

Port3 fixed RS232 AutroSafe IFG AutroFieldBus bus communication

Port 4 fixed RS232 AUTROLON network configuration file download

Installation and Capacity Limitations

Installation method: Single machine direct insertion of EAC-300 processor board; Distributed System Stacked EAU-310 Communication Board

Quantity limit: Each system unit only supports 1 EAU-321

Rules for installation quantity:

Battery free host: can accommodate up to 3 communication boards (including EAU-321/310/330)

Battery powered host: can accommodate up to 2 communication boards

When distributed with EAU-310, a maximum of 2 additional modules can be added without batteries; There is a maximum of 1 additional battery

Technical parameters

Parameter values

Number of serial ports 4

Baud rate 9600bps

Communication format: 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no checksum

Power supply+5VDC ± 10%

Working current 80mA (typical no-load value)

Input impedance (RS232) ≥ 3k Ω

Differential threshold (RS422/485) -0.2V~+0.2V

Wiring terminal 2 × 20 pins (X1, X2)

Jumper configuration

J5/J6: Set Port1/Port2 communication protocol (RS232/RS422/RS485)

J8/J9/J10/J11: All port interrupts are fixed at 7

J7: Set the board address to 100h (both A and B bits are set to In)

Wiring Definition

Provide two 20 pin terminals X1 and X2, respectively defining RS232/RS422/RS485 pins, supporting flat cable connections, RS422/RS485 supports 120 Ω terminal matching (only enabled at the end of the link).

Key issues

What are the functions and protocol differences of the four ports of EAU-321?

Answer: Port1/2 supports RS232/RS422/RS485 jumper switching for AutroCom redundant communication; Port3 is a fixed RS232 responsible for the AutroFieldBus bus bus; Port4 is a fixed RS232, specifically designed for downloading AUTROLON network configurations.

What are the installation quantities and restrictions of EAU-321 in the host?

Answer: Only one EAU-321 can be installed on a single system; A non battery host can accommodate up to 3 communication boards, while a battery host can accommodate up to 2 boards; When distributing EAU-310, if there are no batteries, an additional 2 can be added, and if there are batteries, only 1 can be added.

How to configure the core jumper of EAU-321, and what are the interrupts and addresses?

Answer: Configure the Port1/2 interface protocol for J5/J6; J8/J9/J10/J11 interrupt must be set to 7; J7 fixes the board address to 100h (with bits A and B set to In).
