Woodward CPC-II Current Pressure Converter
Product Core Technology Highlights
Dirt Buster anti fouling technology: The output force of the actuator is increased by 4 times, and it can reduce or even eliminate hydraulic filters and reduce the maintenance workload of filter elements through 40 μ m particle impurities.
Silt Buster (patent pending) self-cleaning technology for sludge: automatically removes oil sludge accumulation, the cleaning process does not interfere with the normal control of the unit, and does not damage the integrity of operation.
Advanced control algorithms and improved diagnostic functions; Support optimal configuration of redundant systems.
The installation base is fully compatible with the old CPC and can be directly replaced in place; It can also be adapted for upgrading the Voith E360 I/H converter.
The output pressure is stable, and the pressure noise is much lower than that of traditional I/H converters, reducing the wear of servo mechanisms; Excellent step response, disturbance free, high-precision, and bumpless switching in gate control.
Equipped with PC service debugging tools, supporting performance trend recording, maintaining control stability under unit disturbance conditions, reducing process overshoot/undershoot, and improving unit availability.

Upgrade and renovation plan
Old CPC upgrade: The installation base and hydraulic oil interface of CPC-II are fully compatible with the old CPC, and can be directly replaced in situ without the need to modify the base and hydraulic manifold block. Refer to product specification 03352 for complete dimensions.
Voith E360 I/H retrofit: A separate adapter kit needs to be ordered, order number 8928-7240.

Key points for performance comparison
Traditional I/H converters exhibit significant pressure noise, which accelerates the wear of servo components; Simultaneously, excessive damping results in slow dynamic response. CPC-II has smooth and stable output pressure, as well as fast and accurate step response. The servo position of the turbine control valve approaches the ideal step curve, reducing servo wear, minimizing process overshoot, and improving the stability of the unit operation.
