The WCU (Watch Cabin Unit) LED version is a duty cabin alarm display unit designed by KONGSBERG for the Unmanned Engine Room system. It is installed in the living area of the engineers and used for remote display of cabin alarm information.

Answer: Communication between CAN high-speed bus and DataChief main MCU is adopted; Support redundant architecture, the system automatically switches to the backup MCU when the main MCU fails. The significance lies in ensuring uninterrupted alarm communication, even if the main control unit fails, the on duty personnel can still receive the alarm, greatly improving the safety and reliability of the cabin.

Question 3: What are the most important safety related indicator lights and buttons on the WCU panel? What are their respective functions?

The most important indicator lights: Fail safe light+communication fault light, used to indicate system failure or communication interruption, which takes priority over ordinary alarms.

The most important buttons: LAMP TEST+SOUND OFF. Lamp inspection is used to regularly confirm the integrity of the panel, while silencing is used to confirm alarms and stop the sound. It is the core button for daily operations.
