DEIF Delomitic-3 is a highly customized, distributed and multifunctional power station control and protection system designed specifically for ship power stations, public power plants, and cogeneration CHP units. It integrates control, relay protection, measurement, synchronization, and remote communication, and supports collaborative management of multiple units.
Core components of the system
DGU: Generator Control Unit (Rack mounted Modular Plug in Box, 1 set of DGU per generator set)
CP control panel: human-machine operation slave station, with a maximum of 3 CP panels externally connected to a single DGU
ARC-NET Token Ring Bus: a dedicated LAN within the system that connects all DGUs to the operation panel
CM-2 Communication Conversion Module: External docking with upper level SCADA and monitoring systems, outputting universal serial port protocols such as Modbus RTU
Core Features
Modular free selection, add or remove input/output/protection/synchronization boards as needed;
The control panel is a slave device, and panel damage does not affect the internal control and protection logic of DGU;
A single ARC bus can connect up to 8 sets of DGUs and 24 operation panels;

CP operation control panel (human-machine slave station)
Each DGU can be equipped with up to 3 CP panels, which communicate with the host through the ARC bus and have the following functions:
LCD display screen: real-time measurement value viewing, parameter tuning, and full alarm information display;
16 channel status LED indicator lights, used for quick indication of running/fault status;
Up to 16 pointer instruments can be connected externally;
No independent control logic, all programs and settings are stored in the DGU host, and panel faults do not trip or lose protection.

DGU Generator Unit: Rack and Hardware Modules
1. DGU rack standard
The rack complies with the German railway standard BN411002/BN411003, and the backplane integrates a unified flat system bus. It is equipped with various modules in a rail mounted manner and offers two specifications:

Installation method: either base surface installation or cabinet embedded installation; Unused slot with dust cover to maintain IP20 protection.
Optional shock absorption kits are available for ship operating conditions, with weight increases of 1.2kg (84TE)/0.9kg (60TE) respectively. Shock absorption kits are standard for ship frames.
Environmental protection: IP20 for the front and rear of the whole machine; The flame retardant grade of plastic parts is UL94-V0.
2. All functional modules of DGU (required+optional for each DGU)
All modules come with detachable terminals, and the maximum configuration quantity and purpose of each module are as follows:
PSM-1 power module (required, 1 per DGU)
Provide power to all internal modules of DGU; Some safety circuits require an external independent power supply.
CM-2 control core module (required, 1 module per DGU)
The system main control unit runs the unit application program and also serves as an ARC bus node and external communication gateway;
Can convert ARC protocol to RS232/RS422/RS485 Modbus RTU and interface with third-party monitoring/upper computer; Support PC installation of ARC network card for direct system debugging.
IPM-1 16 channel input module
Each channel can be configured with DC current, DC voltage, and passive binary switch input; A maximum of 8 DGUs per unit.
OPM-1 16 channel relay output module
Large capacity relay dry contact output, used for opening and closing, alarm, and actuator drive; A maximum of 8 DGUs per unit.
AOM-1 8-channel analog output module
Single channel can be configured with unipolar/bipolar, voltage/current output (4-20mA/± 5V, etc.), used for speed and voltage regulation transmission; A maximum of 8 DGUs per unit.
CRM-1 current protection module
Implement three types of current relay functions: short-circuit protection, ground fault protection, and differential protection; A maximum of 4 DGUs per unit.
SCM-1 Unit Integrated Module (up to 1 per DGU)
Standard onshore/conventional generator specific: three-phase full power measurement, generator circuit breaker opening and closing, high-precision synchronization, engine speed regulation output, complete generator protection.
SCM-2 axis generator dedicated comprehensive module (up to 3 pieces per DGU)
Special for ship shaft generator, including shaft generator protection, bus tie circuit breaker synchronization, and three-phase measurement.
PRM-1 mains power protection module (up to 2 per DGU)
Complete set of relay protection on the grid side: positive sequence overvoltage/undervoltage, overvoltage/underfrequency, negative sequence overcurrent and other grid connected protection.
ARC-NET Token Ring Internal Communication Bus
1. Bus positioning
A dedicated local area network within the system, the only communication medium, connecting all DGU hosts, CP panels, and CM2 gateways; Topology is token ring, parallel branching is prohibited.
2. Hardware cable parameters
Cable model: RG-62 A/U 93 Ω coaxial cable, equipped with BNC connector, T-shaped tee, and terminal matching resistor;
Transmission rate: 2.5 Mbit/s; The maximum total length without relay is 300m; the minimum distance between nodes is 1.8m;
Wiring requirements: Install magnetic rings 0.1m before and after each BNC connector to suppress interference; Terminal resistors must be installed at the beginning and end of the bus; Only single stop points are allowed, and branching and parallel connections are not allowed.
3. Environmental parameters
Working temperature: -25 ℃~+70 ℃; Nominal operation -10~55 ℃; Storage -40~+70 ℃; Climate grade DIN 40040 HSE.
Mandatory requirements for installation space
Reserved specifications for cabinet installation:
The distance from the inside of the cabinet door panel to the back of the rack is ≥ the dimension marked B;
After the cabinet door is fully opened, there is no obstruction in front of the rack, and the minimum reserved distance is C;
3 ARC connectors must reserve operating space to prevent cabinet doors from blocking and ensure maintenance and insertion.
Certification and Compliance
The whole machine is marked with CE mark;
Full certification from classification societies: LR, GL, DNV, ABS, BV, RINA, CCS, China Classification Society CNK;
3 Flame retardant standards: All plastics UL94-V0 self extinguishing.
