84F has a unique dual measurement version: dual sensors+dual electronic module redundancy, where one fails and the other continues to measure, used for safety interlocking and critical circuit backup. 84W does not have this version.

Work and environmental conditions

1. Process temperature

Sensor filling type temperature range

Fluorolubricant filling -20~+90 ℃ (0-200 ℉)

Silicone filling liquid -20~+200 ℃ (0-400 ℉)

No filling (high temperature) 200~430 ℃ (400-800 ℉)

Shell environmental temperature: with display -20~+80 ℃; No display -40~+80 ℃; Partial certification can reach 85 ℃. Power supply DC: 15.5-42 Vdc; The highest intrinsic safety version is 30V.

Operating premise: The medium cannot flash or corrode; Sufficient back pressure is required; Provide the formula for calculating the minimum back pressure to prevent liquid vaporization.

2. Performance indicators

Accuracy varies with Reynolds number

Liquid: Re>30000: ± 0.5% reading; 20000‑30000:±1.0%; 5000‑20000:±2.0%

Gas and steam: Re>20000: ± 1.0% reading; 5000‑20000:±2.0%

To achieve the above accuracy, it is necessary to configure the input medium density and viscosity.

Various influencing factors

Power supply voltage: pulse output has no effect; Analog output<0.005% per volt; Digital output has no impact.

The process temperature will change the inner diameter of the measuring tube, affecting the K coefficient. The instrument can automatically adjust based on the input process temperature.

Anti vibration: can withstand 3g acceleration without damage or drift calibration.

Pressure loss: The maximum pressure loss is about 8psi (0.55bar), and the actual value is calculated using FlowExpert Pro.

K-factor: K-factor is the number of pulses per unit volume, calibrated with factory water, and traceable to NIST; Divided into reference K factor and operating condition K factor, percentage offset correction can be made.

3. Output function

Model suffix: – T: HART+4-20mA+pulse output;  ‑U:HART+4‑20mA, No pulse output.

4-20 mA analog output: 2-wire loop power supply; HART FSK is superimposed on the current signal; HART supports multi station mode, with a maximum of 15 transmitters per twisted pair.

Pulse output (two-wire transistor switch, external power supply 5-30Vdc)

Raw pulse: directly outputs vortex frequency without damping;

Rate pulse: 0-10/100/1000Hz, corresponding range;

Total Accumulated Pulse: Output one pulse for each flow through the set volume. Equipped with reverse polarity and short circuit protection.

Damping: 0-32 second exponential filtering; Only effective for analog and digital outputs, the original pulse is not dampened.

Response time (undamped): analog/digital 0.5s; rate/total pulse 0.25s; original pulse follows vortex frequency.

Communication: baud rate 1200; Maximum communication distance of 1800m; 5 traffic updates per second/cumulative; Supports HART handheld devices, PC configuration software, and local button LCD.

Security features: password protection, write protection jumper (ISA-584.01); Power on+continuous self diagnosis in the background; Offline self-test.

4. Electrical characteristics

The maximum loop current in analog mode is 22 mA; the typical current in digital multi station mode is 10 mA; and the maximum pulse current is 20 mA.

Circuit load: voltage load curve exists for 4-20mA output; Use a HART handheld device with a minimum load of 250 Ω; Low temperature (< -29 ℃) requires a minimum loop voltage of 15.75V to ensure communication.

Wiring terminal: 1/2NPT or M20 threaded interface on both sides of the shell; The casing is divided into two chambers, with the on-site wiring chamber isolated from the electronic chamber; The grounding terminal is externally independent.

Protection level: IP66, NEMA4X, die cast low copper aluminum alloy shell, epoxy coating.

5. Explosion proof certification

Supports ATEX, IECEx, FM, CSA, including intrinsic safety, explosion-proof, and non flammable; Support Zone/Class Div hazardous areas; An intrinsically safe 24V power supply requires a safety barrier.
