Leybold SOGEVAC DI&BI series oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump

Product positioning and core features

SOGEVAC DI/BI is an oil sealed rotary vane pump designed by Leybold for analytical instruments and low to medium vacuum scenarios. It features a long maintenance free cycle, low noise, and high reliability.

Core advantages:

Maximum 24000 hours (3 years) maintenance free (mass spectrometry application)

Integrated anti backflow valve, automatically closes the air inlet when shutting down/cutting off power

Built in oil mist filter, oil mist discharge<1ppm

Low noise ≤ 61dB (A), low vibration

FC model with frequency conversion+RS485, supporting speed regulation and predictive maintenance

Single phase wide voltage power supply: 200~240V ± 10%, 50/60Hz

Working principle and structure

Working principle: Oil sealed rotary plate structure, oil and gas coarse separation → filter fine filtration → oil return to the oil tank circulation

Structural highlights:

Coaxial design of pump and motor (SV16 DI~SV65 BI FC)

Efficient air cooling, optimizing pump body temperature

Internal circulation lubrication, no external oil pipe

Integrated anti backflow oil valve at the air inlet (effective at<800mbar)

Key issues

What are the core improvements of the SOGEVAC BI FC model compared to the regular BI version?

Answer: The FC model adds variable frequency drive and RS485 digital interface, which can achieve 50-100% speed regulation, operation data monitoring, predictive maintenance, and automatically limit starting and operating currents. It is suitable for ordinary civilian circuit breakers and is more suitable for intelligent automation systems.

How to achieve the anti backflow and environmental protection design of this series of pumps, and what are the key indicators?

Answer: The air inlet is equipped with an anti backflow oil valve, which automatically closes when the machine is stopped/powered off, preventing oil from flowing back into the system; Integrated high-efficiency exhaust filter, achieving oil mist emission of less than 1ppm and no oil mist pollution throughout the entire process.

How long maintenance free cycle can this series of pumps achieve on mass spectrometry analysis equipment, and how to choose the corresponding oil?

Answer: Maintenance free for up to 24000 hours (approximately 3 years) can be achieved on LC/GC-MS and other analytical instruments; LVO 700 synthetic oil is recommended for mass spectrometry, and LVO 420 PFPE fluorinated oil is recommended for ICP-MS anti-corrosion conditions.
