SNO 4062 K/KM safety relay

Product positioning and safety certification

SNO 4062 K/KM is a basic dual channel safety relay used for emergency stop and protective door monitoring, which meets the highest level of certification as follows:

EN ISO 13849-1:PL e、Category 4

DIN EN 62061:SILCL 3

DIN EN 60204-1:Stop Category 0

Model differentiation

Model Core Function Applicable Scenarios

SNO 4062 K synchronous monitoring, no input debounce emergency stop button, safety door, grating OSSD

SNO 4062 KM without synchronous monitoring, input stabilization, safety carpet dedicated to safety carpet, safety edge, safety corner

Core functions

Channel Mode

Single channel: Two channels in parallel

Dual channel: independent monitoring of two channels

Startup method

Manual start: Reset triggered by the falling edge of S32/rising edge of S35

Auto start: S35 and S33 are short circuited, and the rising edge of the safety signal automatically starts

monitoring function

Cross short circuit detection: CH1 connected to positive and CH2 connected to negative to identify a short circuit in the circuit

External contactor feedback: monitoring the status of the main contactor

Synchronous monitoring (K only): CH1 must close before CH2, with a synchronization time of tS ≈ 200ms

Input debounce (KM only): Filter short-term triggers to prevent frequent start stop

Signal compatibility

Supports grating OSSD signals (DIN EN 61496-1)

Support 4-wire safety carpet (DIN EN 1760-1, KM only)

Electrical and mechanical parameters

power supply

Rated voltage: AC/DC 24V

Power consumption: DC 2.0W, AC 2.4W/4.4VA

Output (forced guidance relay)

Safety enable: 2-channel NO, maximum 6A/240VAC, 5A/24VDC

Signal circuit: 1 NC channel

Disconnecting time:<25ms

Environment and Installation

Working temperature: -25~+55 ℃

Protection level: shell IP40, terminal IP20

Weight: 0.21kg

Wiring: Spring terminal, wire diameter 0.14-2.5mm ²

Typical applications

Dual channel emergency stop monitoring (with cross short circuit detection)

Sliding safety door monitoring (with synchronous monitoring)

Grating OSSD signal processing

Safety carpet/safety edge monitoring (KM only)

Key issues

Question 1: What is the core functional difference between SNO 4062 K and KM? What devices are applicable to each?

answer:

K version: equipped with synchronous monitoring (tS ≈ 200ms), no input jitter reduction; Suitable for emergency stop buttons, safety doors, and light barriers.

KM version: No synchronous monitoring, but with input stabilization, specifically designed for high-frequency micro motion signal scenarios such as safety carpets and safety edge touches.

Question 2: What is the highest security level achieved by the device? Which standards do these levels correspond to?

answer:

PL e/Category 4: Corresponding to EN ISO 13849-1 (highest level of functional safety)

SILCL 3: Corresponding to DIN EN 62061 (Safety Related Electrical Control Systems)

Stop Category 0: Corresponding to DIN EN 60204-1 (Immediate power off and shutdown)

Question 3: What is the function of cross short circuit detection? How to achieve it?

answer:

Function: To detect short circuit faults between input lines and avoid undetected safety signal failures.

Implementation: Channel CH1 is connected to the positive pole and CH2 is connected to the negative pole. Once the line is short circuited, it will be immediately identified and the safety output will be cut off.
