KONGSBERG RCU 500 Remote Controller

The RCU 500 remote controller product launched by Kongsberg Maritime is positioned as a process control dedicated single board computer, equipped with a 400 MHz Power PC 8245 processor, 32 MB SDRAM, and 16 MB Flash memory. It supports rich communication interfaces such as dual CAN bus, dual Profibus, and dual 100 Mb Ethernet, as well as 4 digital input/output channels. It has features such as built-in self-test (BIST), redundant operation, and hot replacement, with a protection level of IP20 and a working temperature of 0 ° C to 70 ° C. It complies with multiple standards such as IEC 61131-2 and is suitable for scenarios such as power positioning systems and ship control systems. It is expected to obtain certification from organizations such as DnV and ABS in the second quarter of 2004.
